Eyelash extensions are a set of synthetic, mink, or silk eyelash-shaped fibers that are glued to natural lashes individually or as a group called ‘Fans’. These fans can be pre-made or handmade on the spot.

How long IS A LASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT?

All this speed only matters if our clients maintain good retention and healthy natural eyelashes and that to us is more important than speed.
How long will LASHES last?

With proper Aftercare and regular infills, you can keep your lashes looking flawless as long as you like

Because people can lose up to 5 natural eyelashes per day, infills are required within 4 weeks of a new set.

A Winkx FX policy states that you must have at least 40% of the lash extensions remaining to receive ‘Infills’

A common misbelief is that you need to take a break from eyelash extensions every so often, this is not necessary since your lashes have a natural life cycle and replenish themselves regularly.

ARE lash extensions BAD FOR YOU?

Eyelash extensions can be bad for you. Inexperienced and uneducated lash technicians can jeopardize the health of your natural lashes and eyes by using cheap products and bad techniques.

You will also need to follow proper aftercare procedures or you to could be the cause of bad lash extensions.

How TO prepare for my appointment?

It’s important to remove all eye make-up to give the adhesive a clean and clear surface to bond to, which is key to the lash extension's longevity.

Avoid any stimulants that may cause you to twitch and move more than normal, coffee, energy drinks, etc.

Use the restroom.

Arrive on time.

Be prepared to relax!

And don't forget to throw away the mascara.
WHICH lashes ARE best for me?

The lash technician will need to see you in person to accurately judge the best eyelash extensions for you. Your desired look and what type of lashes will work best with your natural lashes, eye shape, and eye position are ultimately what determines their recommendation. Keep in mind that results will vary because they are based on your natural features.

Are LASH products SAFE?

Yes. Winkx FX uses medical-grade adhesives.

Allergic reactions are rare but can occur. We recommend a patch test 24 hours before a full set with us.

The glue we use has a shelf life of 5-7 weeks, but we replace our glue monthly to help decrease irritation and increase longevity.
How do I care for LASH EXTENSIONS?

Can I wear mascara or eye makeup?

Mascara or eye makeup, is not recommended, the constant application and removal can affect the longevity of your lash extensions and can make cleaning them difficult which increases the chances of unhealthy lashes, also the extra weight can be an issue as the lash technician may have already maxed out the load on your natural lashes.

We recommend a set of lash extensions with more volume which can look similar and even better than the mascara look.
