The reason you should wear eyelash extensions is the same reason you wear any form of makeup:
To accentuate your features and conceal others
To match your outfit
To match the occasion
To make you feel beautiful
To make you feel confident
But no matter how confident and beautiful eyelash extensions make you feel you first need to know...
ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS SAFE?

Can eyelash extensions damage your eyes?
Yes! And there are a few situations that can cause harm, for example...
If your lash artist is incompetent.
Our Advice: If you're in the market for a new lash tech do your research first, don't go in blind, or... you might come out blind.
Find out how long they've been lashing for, ask them directly if need be. Ask to see qualifications, most lash techs are proud and can produce the proof quite quickly.
Keep in mind that in Australia and New Zealand it's not necessary to have qualifications, so anyone who says they are nationally accredited is BS-ing you, but at least a certificate will show you they care enough to get some kind of training.
The tools used need to be sterilized between each client.
Our Advice: This is lashing 101, especially in this day and age of Covid, hygiene is essential, don't be afraid to ask questions directly to your lash tech when you arrive eg. Have you sterilized everything?
Find a professional lash tech, like Winkx FX - we sterilize all tools, change disposable bed covers and wear disposable gloves and masks for every client.
You can damage your eyes if you don't follow the aftercare steps!
This can lead to infections, and that word no woman ever wants to hear, "premature!" - Premature babies, premature men, and premature lash fallout, at least we can help one of these things by following the aftercare advice.
Our Advice: It's so important! Follow aftercare steps, protect yourself and your investment.
Lash extension removal:
Sorry ladies, Youtube, and Google cant help with this one, never remove lashes yourself, tugging at them, pealing them, can cause damage to your natural lashes which can take weeks to heal.
Our Advice: Book in with a professional, like us, we save you $15 if you book a lash removal with any of our full sets.
Are eyelash extensions bad for your lashes?
Yes! If not applied correctly - too heavy, too long, if you don't follow aftercare, can cause infections, itchiness leading to you playing with them.
Our Advice: Follow the aftercare instructions, choose someone with experience, and don't ask for extra long or heavy lashes against the lash tech's advice.
Eyelash extensions and pregnancy.
The eyelash extensions and the chemicals used are completely safe for pregnant women, the issue is the application time and the fact that a lash artist needs you to lay still for a long period of time.
Our Advice: When you go to bed at night try to lay down in the position you'd have to to get your lashes done, this will give you some idea of whether or not you can handle it.
Also if you have a baby kicking your bladder the constant toilet breaks could make the procedure much longer, potentially impacting the next client's time slot.
Tell the lash artist you are pregnant, if you're expecting a lot of breaks they may need to extend your appointment time, some can even organize a setting position while you get your lashes.
HOW LONG DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

Lash extensions can last indefinitely with regular infills, refills, top-ups, etc. every 1-4 weeks, depending on...
What your mama gave you - genetics
Time of year - people tend to shed hair faster during the hotter seasons
How they were applied - skill level of your lash tech
and how well you follow instructions - aftercare
Will eyelash extensions fall out naturally?
Yes! Like every hair on the body, it has a natural life cycle, for lashes you could expect to lose up to 5 natural eyelashes per day which of course will take anything you've got glued to it, along with them! And the only way to combat that is with regular infills.
Our Advice: Help where you can - find a skilled lash tech, follow aftercare, and hope for the best because the rest is out of your hands.
WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS SUIT ME?
Yes! A good lash tech will customize a set for you and should be able to judge what will best suit you.
A lash tech can make your eyes appear closer if they're wide set or vice versa, also balance them out if they're up-turned or down-turned, in-set or out-set, all while filling in gaps left in your lashes from natural (or deliberate) fallout.
The true superpowers of a lash artist.
Eyelash Extensions For Hooded Eyes
We can hide your hooded eyes with a specific lash shape, thickness, and the type of lash extension set used.
Eyelash Extensions For Small Eyes
Small eyes are not a problem for a good, well-supplied lash tech, using a specific application technique you'll have big bright eyes in no time.
Eyelash Extensions For Asian Eyes
If a lash tech doesn't work on Asians very often, it can be quite tricky, Asians tend to have less natural lashes than others, but a good lash tech with skills and some simple techniques can have those beautiful eyes popping like an anime character in the blink of an eye.
Eyelash Extensions With Glasses
This can be quite annoying if you have long luscious lashes that keep hitting the lens every time you blink, but there is a solution, lashes shaped like an "L" can give you a full volume look while remaining close to your face and a way for the lens.
Eyelash Extensions With Color

These are relatively new and if done right can be a gorgeous addition to an outfit, a special occasion, or an attitude, but, on the other hand, if done wrong can make you look like you have no lashes or big gaps, which could turn your "night to remember" into a night to forget.
When asking the question "will eyelash extensions suit me?" It really comes down to the lash tech you choose and how much artistic talent and skill they have, and of course, all the skills in the world can't help if your lash tech hasn't got the right lashes to choose from:
Lash Shapes
Thickness
Lengths
or the colors to suit you and your occasion or lifestyle.
It really is as simple as that, because there are dozens, even hundreds, of different combinations to suit everybody and their uniquely beautiful selves.

TO SUMMARIZE
They say never answer a question with a question, but they aren't here so...to answer the original question:
"why wear eyelash extensions?"
My answer is...
"why not?"
If you can afford it then, "why not?"
For me, it ticks all the boxes, the less time I have to spend getting myself ready in the morning the better, less stress, more sleep, better person (most times) and if I am running late, at least my lashes are done, I'd prefer lashes and no make-up than make-up and no lashes.
The whole sleeping on my back thing was an adjustment but it isn't a big deal now, it's like forgetting to wear a seatbelt in the car, your body just feels like it's doing something wrong, plus the lash mask and silk pillowcase helped me to get used to it.
Completely Addicted
I've tried the other options and they've all got something about them I just can't look past, so I'll be an Eyelash Extension lover for lift...or until they invent a pill that can grow my lashes perfect every time with no side effects...If only!
